In a drastic turn of events, HumorMD Jr is no longer the one with allergy problems. That would be me currently. I think I might be adding in a nice little upper respiratory infection as well (oh goody!). This means that I'm not able to keep with all the things I want to do, like write more stuff for the blog here. To HumorMD Jr's credit, he hasn't slowed down one bit. We have several things happening right now.
First, Operation Eat Oatmeal is still in full swing. It continues to go well. We had been giving it to him around 6 PM or so because that was a convenient time. Had a little snafu last night and couldn't give it to him until about 8 PM. Typical of most discoveries, this mistake turned out to be great. It seems that feeding it to him later makes him sleep more! He slept for about 9.5 hours straight after that. Amazing.
Our most recent thing that we have started is Operation Roll Over. It is well documented how much little buddy hates Tummy Time, but it is growing on him a bit. He's now OK with being on his belly a bit each day, and I am trying to show him that this opens up a whole new window into his world. He will lift his head and look around, but he still hasn't figured out that he can actually be mobile. Rolling back and forth a bit is about as far as we've gotten. I'll let you know when we make progress. I'm hopeful we can capture the big moment on video too.
Last and on a personal note, one of my aunts is having surgery today to remove a mass on her pancreas. This is obviously a big deal and your prayers would be appreciated. The surgery will not only remove the mass that is blocking her pancreas, but it will also allow us to find out definitively if it is cancer or not. Again, your prayers are appreciated and everyone have a great day!
